What is Joomla! all about?

Joomla! is a CMS (Content Management System) with a very large user community – in fact, it is the largest open source project in the world. Joomla! is very extendable and scaleable which means that it is fairly straight-forward to add new modules/extensions if you have the required programming knowledge. It has over 2,000 extensions, with minimum of 15 new extensions added per week by the Joomla! community world wide.
