Marketing Debate 2.0

Tim (our marketing guru) and I were battling to settle how we should brand our various divisions, spin off divisions and products. He posted the question on www.marketingprofs.com and got awesome feedback in a matter of hours.
Here is the thread: http://www.marketingprofs.com/ea/qst_question.asp?qstID=18377

The debate is now settled and we are able to move forward. I love the web!

Our mayor goes Web 2.0

Hellen Zille on ZoopyCool! Great going Helen – excellent innovation. This use of technology shows how pragmatic divides/constraints that are there as a result of realities of modern life can be bridged through the use of appropriate technologies.

Standard Bank does me in twice

standard bank errorWorking in IT and the internet I fully understand that things can go wrong – easily – and they do – often – and the reasons are beyond human control – sometimes. However, there are contingency plans that can and should be followed, especially if you are a multi-million Rand, listed organization and especially-especially if you are one of the top 4 banks in a country.

I was amused the first time Standard Bank failed me, but the second time (in three days) and I am hacked.

Currently in Australia, internet banking is like a lifeline to controlling my business and personal finances.

With the exorbitant banking fees I get charged. I expect better than this. Work it out man!

Day 3 (Monday 7 May): Things look up more

There is a strong sense of excitement here at RE/MAX Australia. They all agree that the first ten years are tough but are confident that RE/MAX Australia can double in size in the next 1,000 days which could well make them number one in Australia.

Everything about this convention is top class from the Speakers to the accommodation to the supplier presentations.

Here is the letter I sent to the Dub Dub Dub legends at the end of Day 3 and after the new site DNS replicated:

I literally nearly didn’t make it to Coolum for the convention. Here’s why…

White Wall Web Technologies

This post briefly defines the technologies that White Wall Web uses to deliver the Construction Phases of the Web Application Development Projects that we manage.

This is not to say that we can not or will not use other technologies as the principles used when developing code are what really matters (understanding of frameworks, syntax and all the important drivers for project success and the appropriateness the components that make up web based systems to a particular need).

This is an introductory article, so please view it as such…
