AJAX Operating System

While most people seem to think this is a “bad idea” (that is a euphamism… “worst idea ever“) I think it is at least worth discussing – an AJAX based operating system is soon to be launched by AjaxLaunch.
This will be accesible to users via a browser and files will be stored remotely.
Perhaps this is the link to true Application Service provision? Thin client notebooks that load with a browser and access their OS over an internet connection. I think it has big potential as broadband wireless networks become faster.
